Jen Young

Jen is a local artist here in Vancouver, BC and has always loved art and the process of creating. For the past 20 years she has been creating pottery at a local community center. Each unique piece is created with love and passion and takes several weeks to complete! They start as a lump of clay that is wedged to remove air bubbles and then thrown on the wheel. Pieces are then dried to leather hard, trimmed and handles are then made and carefully attached. Once each piece has dried completely, it gets loaded into the kiln for its first firing. Glaze colors are selected and each item is dipped or sprayed with glaze and then fired again! Jen also makes and sells beautiful hand-crafted soaps and beeswax food wraps available in-store!
