Broughton Archipelago Park is the largest marine park in British Columbia and is located between the north end of Vancouver Island and the Coast Mountains. The area contains dozens of undeveloped islands and islets and is a favorite adventure destination for boaters and kayakers. The Broughton Archipelago also features spectacular wildlife viewing. For centuries, Stubbs Island has remained a faithful landmark in Weynton Passage. This island arises from the ocean surface and appears as a massive boulder that stands strong and mighty against the forceful, rushing tidal waters. Stubbs Island is also a popular destination for the many humpback whales that frequent the waters of Northern Vancouver Island.
