The Line Up

The Furusato Dancers perform traditional and contemporary Japanese folk dances called bon odori or minyo dancing after the style of singing. These are either national folk dances or regional dances which are performed at festivals and on special occasions throughout Japan. The group has performed for a variety of private and public events throughout Vancouver Island since 2006 and has received several Ethnic dancing awards.

The Tzinquaw Dancers are an intergenerational dance troupe, honouring the traditional Quw'utsun dances and songs from the Cowichan Valley. Originating in the early 1960s, they embody and empower cultural identity and the Hul'qumi'num language with large and elaborate dances that have been passed down from their Elders.

Fusión Chibcha is dedicated to showcasing the rich tapestry of Colombian folklore through vibrant dance and music. Our performances capture the essence of traditional Indigenous and Afro-Colombian rhythms, creating an immersive cultural experience for audiences of all backgrounds.
