Heat of the day (Grateful) This was inspired by summer - a wishing it was here now. As I was recovering from surgery and inspired to be outside, smelling the floral scents and feeling the warmth on my face. It has a lot of texture in it created through the additions of mediums. Many layers have been worked up to create something light and airy. You will note the stencil, line and pattern work as well as faint traces of pastel and graphite in places. Teal and violet make the overeall feeling of this painting serene.
