| Twin Lotuses Rising Out of the Mud (print) (Title: ‘Om mani padme hum’) Based on a photograph of our original sumi-e painting, the print, with slight graphic-design emphasis, suggest the essence of the pankaja, the mud-born lotus. As such, the beauty and pristine quality of the blooms, untouched , or factually unstained by the muddy waters of the lake, arise like masters! Painted originally with india- ink and colour on white paper, and as per our art-print, slightly ‘warmed’ with an increase in shade, the lotuses indeed take our mind away. And is that not the anticipated result of mantra meditation of the padma-bloom? Om mani padme hum: look within the lotus -the padma- and discover the mani-the jewel- as your ‘all-and own’ Self. Thus without pelf we reach Paradise-Hall our ever and only Well- spring!
