               | Tulipa and Enso (Print / photograph) As we know, the tulip -originally from Asia- was famously cultivated in Persia during the Ottoman Empire. In due course of time, this amazing bulb -adopted by theDutch- became the most well-known flower of the Netherlands: de tulp! As it was famous for tolerating extreme weather conditions viz. heat and cold, austere yogis often aspire for the level of tolerance of the tulipa sylvestnis. As such, in this art-print composition, we have the photographic image of the tulip posited against a faint-background of the Enso, As the Enso suggests the ground, the home of all beings, or our natural constitution so said, the tulip and Enso are one. Thus we recognize being in this world, like the tulip and simultaneously-like the atman*- not being of this world, i.e. a sanguine transcendentalist. OM Tat Sat: may it be understood like That! Sanskrit: spirit soul, the anima, the Self 11" x 17" Art Print on Cardstock This print will be mailed in a mailing tube and is unframed. |
