| Keeper of The Word measures 30”x48”x1.5” on gallery wrap canvas and finished with a satin varnish finish. This piece comes signed on the right bottom side with all hanging hardware installed ready for hanging. I thoroughly enjoy attending the Pow Wows of our local indigenous communities and get great inspiration from the colourful headdresses and regalia that each of the dancers wear. Many of these regalia pieces are passed down through the generations, owned by their fathers and grandfathers. This piece "Keeper of the Word" is the generations of cultural traditions which the dances symbolize, the vcycle of life and its ongoing connection to all things in this world. |
