Susan Hansen (Suzanne's Glass & Jewelry) - susanhansen@shaw.ca - I love creating these pieces from vintage used silverware. I cut, shape, grind, drill, buff and polish every piece but because they were used and tossed into boxes they can have scratches, ding and marks. I try not to remove all of these marks because it gives them character and no two pieces are alike.

| The choker is made on memory wire with Zebra, Black Kukui nuts(from Hawaii), silver Tibetan beads and a pendant made with Russia silverplated silverware. Because of the memory wire it is an easy on and off, the wire will spring back into the original shape. It is a unique style choker. The pendant has a sealant on to help slow the tarnishing of the silverware. (Explanation of Tibentan silver it is made from a mixture of silver and tin.) |
