Billie Blue

Billie Blue (she/her) works with the mediums of watercolour, ink and graphite to create illustrative representational work. Her artwork includes a sensitive application of medium, various styles of line-work, play with expressions, and what some have called a “signature touch of humour.” She has explored various themes such as societal stereotypes, the ubiquity of popular culture, social justice, isolation, independence, and reinterpretation through human and animal subjects. While each artwork includes a narrative created in tandem with the piece, Billie invites her audience to have their own views, thoughts and discussions about what the work might express.
