Laura Correal

During the week days I support students living on campus in a post secondary institution. I oversee and train 42 student staff that support students throughout their time in university. In many occasions I help students who are struggling either personally, financially or academically. Crisis situations are not uncommon but can be very hard after the fact.

I started creating earrings as a way to destress. To be able to use my hands and focus on something else I also love to do. I always say that you need to take care of yourself before anyone else and this is how I keep myself accountable.

I make each pair of earrings with love and kindness. I also use my social media platform to start important conversations of what is happening around us and educate others how to choose empathy. My focus is primarily on mental health, BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and women empowerment. I want to continue learning more about those around me and help others learn in the process as well.
