Ekaterina Vopiyashina

Ekaterina Vopiyashina was born and grew up in Russia, Volgograd. Vopiyashina studied academic drawing and painting at several art studios in Moscow. She moved to Calgary, Alberta in 2015 to pursue BFA degree from Alberta University of the Arts (formerly ACAD), and completed her studies in 2019 with major in Print Media. Ekaterina works in traditional printmaking techniques (etching, silkscreen, relief, lithography) but also interested in painting, drawing and illustration. Her fine arts prints were exhibited in Canada, USA, Germany and Serbia. Ekaterina currently exploring themes of femininity in contemporary society and relations between personality and appearance.
