Dee Bailey

I'm a visual artist living in Whitehorse, Yukon. After studying fine art and biology in Alberta I decided to explore the wilderness of the north. Ten years later, the Yukon still has a firm grip on my heart.
My ultimate goal is to encourage viewers to reconnect with nature through art. I explore the fusion of sculpture and painting to refresh landscape and wildlife painting genres. I’ve been developing techniques for sculptural painting with clay since 2013. Through my “2.5 D” creations depicting landscapes, flora, fauna and ornate details - I strive to rekindle that awe for our natural surroundings.
