Angela McArthur

My work is inspired by the elements of nature and the feminine spirit. I strive to find a balance between softness and strength within myself and within my art. We are all creators. We are all alchemists turning ideas into physical manifestations. Through out history since the dissolution of polytheistic belief systems, the exhibition and recognition of women artists and art depicting feminine and maternal values has been neglected in order to promote a patriarchal society where women are objectified and devalued. I feel it is my responsibility as an artist to help change the way women are portrayed. We all have a goddess within. When we embrace our feminine qualities we can grow a peaceful and loving world.
