An en plein air painting done from the shores of Lower Lake O'Hara, Yoho National Park. Painting outside can have it's moments, and this was a challenge indeed. There had been a new hatch of mosquitoes and the weather was warming up so they were out in full force. Several were painted right into the piece, but brushed off once dry. This little gem is 8x10 inches on a canvas panel which is about 1/4 inch deep, so pre-made frames are suitable for framing. It comes to you unframed. It fits nicely on a small wall, or in a grouping of paintings.
