This painting was a joy to create! I woke up one morning with the words "Sandhill Crane" on my mind, and I had to postpone everything else that day and just paint. This magnificent bird is deceptively delicate looking - In my mind this bird is a matriarch to generations of hundreds of cranes, ensuring their survival for years to come. I used gold, silver and opalescent tones to engage light and energy, to bring light into any room. It has the versatility of neutral tones, for interior decor, but has a very poignant red and orange eye, with neon tones that react under blacklight, giving it a stand out quality. It is a vertical 24 inches tall by 18 inches long, and 1/2 inch deep canvas.
