This painting is 36" by 24" Acrylic on canvas framed. It is part of my series called "Earth guardians". This bear is rendered in a monochromatic scheme with a white textured background. He is the exact measurement of a seven ft bear measuring his skull at 19". The painting is done with a wash and then many layers of detailed fur to help create its form. My paintings are done with great respect and admiration for the animal kingdom the black and white palette allows me to showcase the chosen subject. This bear is shaggy and looks friendly although you would be no match for this fearless spirit. A portion of my art sales goes directly to helping selected animal organizations in protection and preservation.
