Inspired by international travels, Martha Todd’s global collection of beads has evolved into creative pieces and one-of-a-kind Art To Wear jewellery. All of her work is hand-made solely by her. The two mediums she uses are bead weaving and Kumihimo cording. Bead weaving uses tiny beads and thread to stitch contemporary elements into components that flow into bold and chic architectural shapes. Kumihimo cording adds larger beads and stones to silk threads creating lush, elegant bracelets and necklaces. As an established artist her jewellery sells at the Vancouver Symphony Gift Store and the Pacific Arts Gallery, both in Vancouver. Her website www.marthatoddcreatives.com carries all of her available jewellery.
